What is BTX?
BTX (Botulinum toxin) injections are designed to relax facial muscles, effectively smoothing out lines and wrinkles, such as crow’s feet, frown lines and even reduces jaw muscles to soften the masculine look.
How does BTX work?
BTX, a neuromodulator (a form of botulinum toxin type A), is administered into targeted treatment areas using an ultra-fine needle. It functions by blocking nerve signals necessary for facial muscle contractions. In doing so, it reduces expression lines and wrinkles from these muscle contractions.
Once injected, the neuromodulator relaxes the muscles, reducing their movement and diminishing the appearance of lines or wrinkles in the treated area. The results gradually manifest over a few days following the injection.

Types of Botulinum Toxins and Which One is Suitable for Me?
Botulinum toxins come from the bacterium Clostridium botulinum and are classified into types A to G. Type A is the most popular for medical and cosmetic uses because it is the strongest and lasts the longest.
Types B and F are used less frequently, mainly for specific medical conditions or when Type A isn’t effective. The right toxin for you depends on your condition, but most of our patients use the common Type A neurotoxin with little side effects.
